Escapade is a leading fancy dress company. It approached Inside Media to build its national awareness and in particular engage with an audience who would buy Escapade’s products.

Inside Media worked with Escapade to look to create a Guinness World Record for the most people dressed as Superman in one place. The aim was to visually captivate people as well and bring Escapade’s firm proposition to the fore.

The project was a success when the World Record was broken with 867 people dressed as Superman at the Kendal Calling Festival 2013.

As a result Escapade gained considerable brand awareness with a large increase in social media followers - over 4,000 people registered on its website. Plus, the iconic image of almost a thousand people dressed as Superman was covered in national media and achieved a potential audience of 44 million.

Our work was recognised at the CIPR PRide Awards 2014 as a Finalist in the Low Budget Campaign category.
